Fìkh Nìmku Měh (/ˈnɨmku/ /mɛh/ [common; frequent; generic; medium] [weight]) is a subtropical Town located in Fewënqi Parish, Berěbudbǐb District, within the Federation of Alveria.

The name Fìkh Nìmku Měh is derived from the Constructi language, as Fìkh Nìmku Měh was founded by Ch-81m 'L3-37' Dyënkdo, who was culturaly Constructi.

Climate

Fìkh Nìmku Měh has a yearly average temperature of 20°C (68°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a pleasant 25°C (77°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 16°C (60°F). Fìkh Nìmku Měh receives an average of 71 cm/y (27 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Fìkh Nìmku Měh covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 5130 m (16830 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Fìkh Nìmku Měh was founded durring the early 11th century, by Ch-81m 'L3-37' Dyënkdo. The establishment of Fìkh Nìmku Měh was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Fìkh Nìmku Měh's construction back out of the project. Ch-81m 'L3-37' Dyënkdo pushed on reguardles, and Fìkh Nìmku Měh was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Fìkh Nìmku Měh was built using the conventions of Constructi durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fìkh Nìmku Měh is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Fìkh Nìmku Měh is buildings are arranged arround a network of broad worn bedrock streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. Unfortuantly, these millitarily questionable fortifications are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

Fìkh Nìmku Měh is a bustling hive of activity. Everyone moves at nothing short of a jog, each convocation is a mile a minute, and there’s dedicated lanes for riding through town in the center of each street. The locals all appear to be not merely occupied, but in a true hurry for everything from drinking a pint of ale to their daily work.

Civic Infrastructure

Fìkh Nìmku Měh has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Fìkh Nìmku Měh. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Fìkh Nìmku Měh's parks.

Fìkh Nìmku Měh has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Fìkh Nìmku Měh.

Fìkh Nìmku Měh has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Fìkh Nìmku Měh has an Arcane Academy which provides higher education in the arcane sciences.

Fìkh Nìmku Měh possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Fìkh Nìmku Měh has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Fìkh Nìmku Měh's natural decorations nor waterways.

Fìkh Nìmku Měh has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Fìkh Nìmku Měh has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Fìkh Nìmku Měh is home to a University which provides higher education in a variety of fields, and also serves as a research institute for those same fields.

Cultural Notes

The locals are convinced that there is some terrible threat against them working from within their society. It may be a matter of dark sorcerers, foreign spies, traitorous neighbors, shape shifting monsters, or some other hidden evil. This evil may be a recent fear, or it may be an inherited peril they’ve always had to guard against. The danger itself may or may not exist, or if it exists it may not justify the steps being taken.

Fìkh Nìmku Měh's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by grandeur of scale, simplicity of geometric forms, dramatic use of columns, and a preference for blank walls. This design ethos extended to re-imagining earlier styles of structure to create them anew, with a similar overall look and feel to one another..

The Flea, Mammoth near Fìkh Nìmku Měh are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Fìkh Nìmku Měh's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves creating small tokens to channel Transmutation energies of tier 2 via throat chanting.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Fìkh Nìmku Měh was attacked by savage formianss living nearby. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Fìkh Nìmku Měh lost 224 people, 344 livestock, and 40 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 135, when members of Fìkh Nìmku Měh's militia enacted an operation to secure a particular mine to utilize it for a specific task. The operation was complicated by aggravated civilians, who cause problems for the militia for a host of reasons. The conflict ended with the defense of the strategic location against a siege, which ended in a stalemate for Fìkh Nìmku Měh's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Fìkh Nìmku Měh's bards, historians, and legend keepers.

History
